听说民事诉讼有效期为一年，如果一年后想换律师，行么？这样会不会超过有效期？
刑事诉讼有效也是一年么？
我现在已经开始民事诉讼了，还能进行刑事诉讼么？

Statue of Limitations in New York State:
Bodily Injury or Physical Damage:3 years ( the accrual starts from the date
of damage)
Breach of Contract: 6 years
Medical Malpractice: 2.5 years
Negligence(in product liability): 3 years

Testimony under oath.
If you are called or subpoenaed for a deposition, you are being called to
testify about your personal knowledge of facts that relate to a lawsuit.

Really depends on location. Some states have no time limit
at all. However, some commercial contract will specify
where/how you can sue the other party. It may say that you
can only sue them in their home county, then it will be
subject to the law over there, I guess. I am not a lawyer.
