游记之(11)
那天,我一个人在教堂打扫卫生,我们搬到此地后加入这个教会已经一年多了,这还是第
一次只有我一个人在这只有一百五十年历史的教堂里逗留,只有我一个人静静地擦拭一
排排的座位.我突然就想起十多年前写的一部小说,当时我在文学之外并没有接触过基督
教,但我的主人公却是在寻找这样一个花园,满是香气,晚钟在远处低鸣.又想起第一次去
教堂是圣诞节,在南京夫子庙附近,因为人太多,传说中的礼物没领到,更别说见到教堂什
么样子,扫兴而归.第一次进教堂是在石鼓路,却被赶了出来,当时的神甫好象不许不信的
人留在里面.第一次接触教会的人是在金陵神学院,一个女学生和我们聊了半天,她基本
没说清楚这都是怎么回事,不过她和他们的唱诗班成员看上去都很虔诚,比南京那些寺庙
里的和尚尼姑急于要人进香或者吃素面,显得更让人舒服些.
到了国外,我们刚弄清楚新教的派别,就融入了当地的教会,不过这里的教会历史短,发展
也不顺利,不仅少有很宏伟的教堂,很多教区已经维持不下去了.倒是移民人口中信教的
人渐渐多起来,甚至很成规模,经常组织美国的华人牧师来布道.其中不少人笃信只有基
督能救中国,这先按下不表,最近读了本

租现在这个房子前电话里跟房东口头说好租一个学年，给了差不多20天的security deposit。但是搬进来以后发现这个美国白人老单身女房东极难相处。特别是用电方面约束非常多（我们
房租是包括utilities)。比如我们这边天气已经开始冷了，但是她不准我们开暖气。她
自己在的时候有时会开一回，然后关掉，但是我们是不能动的（今天居然跟我说要调节
自己的心理感受，不要觉得冷，就不会冷了）。据我同屋讲夏天也是不让用空凋，还把
空调控制器里的电池拿走，直到8月份最热的时候才开始用。我在这里几乎不做饭，偶
尔用下洗碗机也不行。多开个灯也要被她喊叫。诸如此类很多。此人emotion 上也不是
很稳定，但表面上又经常装出很热情地样子。还会撒谎，有一次骗我同屋说这里水电涨价了，意思要多收房租，我同屋去别的地方一问，哪有这回事。我同屋比我搬进来早，跟我说在这里住过的人都特别讨厌她。但我同屋有一年的合约，所以现在没法搬。我是口头跟她有约定，但是没有签定书面合同。如果实在受不了了，要搬，security deposit 能要回来吗？冲突是免不了的，具体怎么做法律上比较稳妥？security deposi

不知道为什么教堂和寺庙的钟声, 总会让我感到震颤, 好像在提醒我时间不多了, 但是
