Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories is seeking a highly self motivated
, qualified researcher to join our dynamic team to carry out fundamental and
applied research in the area of advanced semiconductor device technology
and electronics. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the
research, simulation, modeling and fabrication of advanced semiconductor
devices from low to high frequency. Proficiency in the design of
semiconductor devices with specific applications such as low frequency power
electronics, RF amplifier and optical devices would be a great asset. The
selected candidate is expected to conduct independent research, develop
analytical and numerical models to prove feasibility of concept, and have
the capability to perform experimental study. Candidates who hold a PhD and
preferably with one or more years of post doctorate experience are
encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
* A Ph.D. in electrical engineering or related fields from a well-
recognized institution.
* A balance of theoretical and practical orientation.
* Strong background in semiconductor theory, solid-state physics,
microwave theory and design, power electronics, optics and optoelectronics.
* Broad knowledge of device modeling, design and fabrication, and
thermal modeling and management.
* Software and hardware development skills related to design of
semiconductor devices.
* Proven ability to generate and publish fundamental innovations.
* Relevant postdoctoral or industrial experience is an asset.
