I like his "面朝大海，春暖花开", which was a lot more positive.
His life was a tragedy probably because he was too confined to his limited
world and his own thoughts. Had he had more exposure to the outside world
like we do now, he might not have killed himself.
I think the ultimate goal of life is to pursue happiness and explore the
meaning of life. Most of the poets focus on the latter while overlooking
the former. That's not good.
