A poem for a lonely star on Chinese Valentine's Day
七夕廖星吟
The glowing sun has just passed under the horizon.
暧日沉平陆，
The night sky shines with many glowing stars.
空夜绽繁星。
I look up at them, searching for the brightest star.
融身入璀璨， 循辉觅天灯。
I realize then that this star is not in my vision.
遍寻绝踪迹，弥目河汉清。
It is far away, waiting for me to find it again.
琼阶衔锦道，玉流隐芳汀。
I try to write a poem to that star, but my tears fill the page.
云深玄露重，纸薄墨痕轻.
Each drop expresses an emotion I have.
