关于downpay，听到过两种说法。。。一种是说能尽量少付就少付，cash is the king.
另一种说法是说如果能pay off ASAP是最好的了。这两种说法分别适用于什么情况阿？以
前从来没想过这个问题，今天突然冒出来了。

down payment is just like any other investment.
You have to think about the cost of financing versus alternative return that
you
may generate by investing on something else.
Also cash is important for emergency so that you can't have no cash reserves.
If you think you can earn more than 5% a year with relative low risk, you
should
probably have low down payment.
If you think you can't think of another good way of investing and the risk
of real estate investment is low (not really true, isn't it?
