Got a pre-qual from BoA. I am very surprised at some of the items. One of
the item is "Title Insurance Charge: $3,897. That sounds like a gigantic
rip-off to me. Is this normal or is this a reasonable price for a 650k
house? Thanks.

我们这里title insurance是卖方出，而且必须要求他们买owner's insurance，光有
lender's insurance是不答应的。

羊毛出在羊身上，反正都在房价里。Buyer买还可以shop around，选不同的option。
seller买肯定最最便宜的，反正不是自己用。

这个和lender没关系，你可以shop around,找便宜的。

About $100 for title insurance, $3780 for owner title policy paid by seller(
depends on the contract you already signed, who will pay it? check your
contract)

我也有这个问题。我的loan agent说title company是seller选的。那我（buyer），可
以选择其他的title company来买这个title insurance吗？
