Our home inspector mentioned in his report that "Monitor, Repair: There is
evidence of (previous?) condensate leakage (rust under the vent fan inside
the furnace compartment) from the fan, PVC pipe connections, or low point
drain lines from the high efficiency furnace. No active leakage was
observed during the inspection. I recommend verifying with the current
owner that this issue has been corrected.".
We asked the owner to repair, but he did not. The agent said it is fine and
normal to most old house (ours is in 80s). What do you think? We are closing
tomorrow. Should we insist the checking?
Anyone has the experience? Thanks a lot for any advice!
