家里空调不热，修空调的人建议把原来metal ducting全部移走，换成plastic
flexible hose，我有几个问题：
1. 有人用过这样的plastic flexible hose吗？
2. 这种plastic flexible hose 是什么材料，最高能耐多高的温度？有没有安全隐患？
3. 绝热效果和使用寿命怎么样？

No, he didn't, but the cost should be cheaper than metal ducting.
My main concern is the quality of this plastic flexible hose, including
safety, smell, lifetime...

I suggest you stick with metal ducts.

these days pretty much nobody uses metal ducts in residential buildings.

The AC repair person said he would use something like this:

I know some commercial building uses this kind of ducting, not sure if it is
good for residential building...

金属的导热系数比你列的绝热塑料管大很多，所以气体在管道内输送时和外界热交换会
比较多，这样容易影响HVAC的使用效果，比如夏天冷气从你家通风口出来已经是热的，
而冬天暖气出来已经不那么暖了。
plastic flexible hose是两层铝箔中间夹一层纤维绝热层，绝热效果显著，但是容易
破裂，变形，安装起来要热别小心。如果挤压变形会导致管道内气压降增加，加重风机
的负担导致耗电，或者导致室内出风口出来的风无力。破裂的的结果更糟糕，夹心层内
的绝热纤维会随风从管道内吹出来，然后被你吸进去，是个health hazard。这些纤维
会不会着火要看材料。一般而言80度以下都没问题。
总之这种管子相比金属管好处是便宜而且绝热，代价就是隐患多。近年的新房子比起5,
60年代的老房子，一个显著的趋势就是偷工减料，能用便宜的绝不用贵的，屋顶，地板
，下水道，装修，无不如此。一般设计的使用寿命也就10-15年，这个plastic
flexible hose也无非如此。
