不要用improve，这个的潜台词是说以前情况很糟糕，
最好用enhance, enlarge, strengthen

capacity.

Two cents, what about this?
"With his join, I expect that our program will be greatly enhanced and
strengthened."
Everybody knows he comes to help on research. Also, "capacity" is not quite
proper.
