在精华区看了一下没什么头绪，所以才发贴求助。
我是f1，老婆f2，前几天发现意外怀孕了，决定要，但是老婆没有保险。
询问了一下health plus说我们的身份（non-immigrant visa)不符合medicaid申请，但
是身边朋友都说没问题，而且有师兄就用medicaid生的孩子。所以现在也比较迷糊，不
知道是不是应该直接去申请。检查的诊所里没有社工帮忙申请medicaid，咨询了一下他
们也都答不知道。
希望在纽约的朋友能够给点建议，谢谢！

Yes, you can do it for sure. We live in upstate New York, and were in the
same situation as you last year.
First you should make an appointment with your local department of social
service, and bring your proof of income (F-1's payment stub), proof of
pregnancy (you can do it free in some organizations like Medicaid
Obstetrical Maternal Services (MOMS) Program, or do it in hospitals for
about $50), and your immigration status documents (like I-20, passport).
Just tell your local DSS your need me
