说说我是怎样教孩子学英文的# NextGeneration - 我爱宝宝

想写这篇文章很久了，也是因为朋友们的请求，可是总是找不出空闲的时间，
今天整夜不睡觉也要把这短文补上，希望我的经验能给大家一些参考。
我和英语结仇二十多年了，为了学好它，我还专程去北京外国语学院取经，日
夜苦读至凌晨，为了节省时间把去食堂打饭的时间都省下来了，经常吃快餐面，这辈子
的快餐面都在那段时光吃完了，下半辈子我是不会再碰那玩意儿了。夜晚熄灯时间过后
，就跑去厕所，坐在洗手池的台阶上读书，有没有味道不重要，有灯光就行，后来被宿
管阿姨发现，赶出来，狠批一顿，贴通告，再也不能去了。办法想尽了，就差没悬梁刺
骨了，用功并不代表能学好英语，英语是一种工具，不只是单纯的一门课程，它是拿来
用的，不只是应付考试的。不养成用英文思维的习惯，英文的学习是不会提高的，这和
你记多少单词没关系。比如，一个5，6岁的美国儿童，词汇量也就二千，可是他能流利
的说，不加思索的任意表达，你记了两万词汇不一定口语比他流利，这就是我说的“英
语思维能力”。一个成年人要想将中文的思维能力转换成英文的，这个很难，需要付出
不知道多少倍的努力。可是，儿童则不同，一张白纸，你怎样描画他（她），他（她）
就会变成怎样，所以说，英文早教非常重要，目地就是要孩子形成英语思维的能力。
一、题海战术法
我是在孩子4岁时开始教她学习英语的，之前没有任何基础，abc都不会，4岁之
前就是玩，各种玩，什么也没学过，也没有教她读过任何英语故事书，在家里也全是讲
中文的。因为自已走过很多弯路，对学英语总结了一些心得，我没有采用正规的语法书
，一板一眼的教孩子学习，首先我采用的是全英文版的数学习题册来教孩子学习，为什
么要学数学习题，目地就一个－－－抓取注意力。在做这些习题时，有大量的阅读工作
要做，这其间我要教她阅读，顺带着讲解语法，碰到什么讲什么，这样学就不会觉得语
法枯燥。孩子要读懂题目，理解其含义，然后再解题，每道题都不一样，孩子学起来有
兴趣，做题做的上瘾，在学习的过程中，学会了很多数学专用的词汇，比如：the same
as ; as many as; pattern; number bond; size; addition equation ;
subtraction equation，基数词和序数词的英文词汇等等。例如，加法有多种表达方式
：plus，and , add , more than ; 乘法除了使用times, 还可以采用What is the
product of # and #?来提问，这里的product是乘积的意思。多变的题形，激发了孩子
的学习兴趣，超爱数学，题海战数法使孩子大大受益。上学后，学习不费力，能听懂老
师讲课（全部英文授课），跟上学习进度，数学一直满分。哪么题海战术法到底要做多
少题呢？我也不知道如何统计，我将孩子的数学题册堆起来量一下，不到一米，这是她
两年的笔耕结果。
二、分类词汇法
将词汇分类记忆非常重要，这样可以加快记忆的速度。比如将词汇分为：日常
用品、水果蔬菜、交通工具、礼貌用语，常用姓名、动物昆虫、植物和农作物、文具用
品、家用电器、建筑材料、颜色形状，季节月份星期，数学专用词汇等等，并对所有词
汇进行听写，每三天10个单词。这些词汇全部学完后开始进入词组和短语的学习，每个
星期8个词组2个短语或短句。在听写这些词汇前，要教孩子将词汇进行读音分解，然后
记忆，慢慢的孩子就学会了很多词根词缀，掌握了词汇的拼写规则。比如，
caterpillar(毛毛虫）分成ca-ter-pi-llar, caution分成cau-tion。掌握这些词根的
前缀后缀，拼写词汇变的容易了，就算不认识的单词，也能自已读出来，不会写的单词
，只要听到读音就能拼写的八九不离十，英文把这个称为phonics(拼音学习）。
另外，我们在分类词汇时，要将动物词汇再细分一下，可以自制一张表格，将动物的家
庭成员进行分类，比如大象elephant,象爸爸bull, 象妈妈cow，象宝宝calf; 马horse,
妈妈马mare, 爸爸马stallion, 马宝宝foal等等。动物们还可以按照声音与行动进行
分类汇总，比如，蛇snake，声音hiss, 行动slithers(滑行)； 鸭子duck, 声音quacks
, 行动waddles(摇摇摆摆的走)等等，这里不一一例举。
三、语法汇总法
自制一些语法汇总学习表，比如名词复数的不规则形式表，不规则动词过去式
汇总表，现在进行时的不规则形式，形容词变副词的汇总表，常用反义词汇总，常用数
学专用术语表等，每三个月将这些词汇表复习一遍，加强记忆。
经过一段时间的词汇学习，孩子发生了很大的变化，开始自已看书了，非常喜爱阅读，
我一直在教她学习词汇，从来没有教她读过任何故事书，孩子有了词汇量自已就能阅读
了，这回小丫头彻底掉进书海里成了书虫，除了吃饭睡觉，其它空余时间全部都在读书
，周未也在图书馆里渡过，每读完一本就兴奋的给我讲故事，写作水平也快速提高，现
在写作文能做到提笔就写，可能和大量阅读有关系，读的多了，点子多，写作也容易了。
四、听力训练法
听力的重要性我就不敖述了，我向大家推荐新概念英语第二册（英音版），不
要选择美音版，儿话音重发音没有那么清楚，英音版清脆悦耳发音清晰超好听，每一个
小故事都很有趣，课文也不长，多听几遍就全背下来了，要求孩子全部96篇课文都要听
，听完要能复述这个小故事，最好是能背下来。
接下来贴几篇小丫头7岁时写的作文，这些作文都是课堂上老师出题，现场写的，没有
语法错误，有些作文被老师作为范文贴到墙上了，文章短小容易看懂，供大家参考：
My Pet Monster
My pet Monster goes by the name, Sharbe. I found her one
day when I was about to sleep. My bed suddenly started to shake
and when I looked under my bed to see what made the sound, I
found her there.
Sharbe looks very fierce, almost like a shark and it has fur all
over its body like a dog. It looks very frightening.
Although it looks scary, it is a very friendly creature. Every
day, I feed sharbe worms from the soil in my garden. Besides
eating worms, it also likes to eat meat.
Its blue eyes are able to scan to see whether you are a human
or an animal. Becides that, it can also shoot lasers at its enemies
with its blue eyes. I take good care of my monster because she
makes me happy. Look out for sharbe my pet monster!
Kite flying
One Sunday, Jack's father gave him a beautiful kite.
Jack was very happy, he could not wait to go with his dad to the
park to fly the kite.
It was a windy day. Jack's father brought him to fly his
kite at the park. The kite flew higher and higher. Jack was
jumping up and down in joy.
Suddenly, a strong wind came and the kite was caught in
a tree branch and it got stuck.
Jack was very anxious and he called out to his dad.
Pointing to the kite, Jack said, " Dad, can you help me to bring it
down? " Jack's father looked at the kite in the tree branch and
said, " Don't worry! I will think of something."
After a while, his father brought a long bamboo pole and
used it to free the kite from the tree branch. Jack was very
happy and thank his dad.
A Fire
One afternoon, a mischievous boy, Peter was feeling bored. A moment
later, he found some matchsticks and the candles in the kitchen drawer. He
was curious what would happen if he lit a candle. He sat down next to trash
bin and lighted up some candles.
Suddenly, the trash bin caught fire. When Peter saw the fire, he felt
very terrified and worried. He quickly grabbed a cup of water and tried to
put out the fire.
Instead, the trash bin tipped over. Peter quickly ran to call for help. His
neighbour came quickly with a fire extinguisher.
Fortunately, the fire was doused. His neighbour advised him never to
play with flammable materials. His parents were very disappointed by his
actions. Peter apologised and promised never to play with fire again.

Chinese Lunar New Year
Long time ago, my ancestors came to Singapore from China. So Chinese
New Year is still the most solemn festival in my family. It’s also called
”The Spring Festival" by Chinese people. The Chinese New Year's date is
determined by using lunar calendar. It’s also known as "Lunar New Year" .
Lunar New Year period comprises of 15 days. On the Lunar New Year eve my
families would gather to have dinner. The main course has an interesting
name called Yu Sheng, which is made from raw fish filet. And then we
watched the “Spring Festival Gala” TV show. At midnight 12 o'clock, when
the New Year's bell sounded, we watched fireworks show at the marina bay to
welcome the New Year . My grandmother told me people believe that the
fireworks will drive away evil spirit.
On the first day of Lunar New Year, we have to pay our respect to our
ancestry. After that we wish our grandparents a happy new year and good
health. They will give me a red packet with money inside and wish me well
for my studies. The 15th day is called “The Lantern Festival” and my
family would gather to eat the glutinous rice dumplings, which is consider a
dessert. The dumplings are made of sweet rice rolled into balls and stuffed
with sweet fillings such as peanut butter and sesame sauce. Round and sweet
dumplings indicate happiness. At the same time, people will take to the
streets to perform dragon dance, lion dance and lantern show at the Marina
Bay, blessing the New Year with good fortune.
