This is the continuation of the bear market of the last decade. Dow was at 40+ OZs of gold in 2000, last year barely @ 10. Now it's heading for 1 or 2 this decade. I don't think it even needs a decade to get there.
What happens if gold is no longer viewed as reserve, but another industrial metal?

That'd make gold even more valuable that already are. Unlikely to happen tho.

What you meant is that until there are signs of firm recovery, central banks will not stop pumping money into the market so there are excess liquidity to drive up stock prices...Is my interpretation correct? Otherwise what you said below is not very logical.
