I could be wrong, but I assume renter insurance usually just covers the
personal loss and medical of renters, but not the house the renter resides
in.
While landlord usually verifies the renter insurance coverage (bought by
tenants) at the inception of the lease, I believe landlord usually needs to
buy separate insurance to cover its house.
