Has anyone happened to read some surveys about the cost distribution in
running a typical IT
department in a company? I'm particularly interested in the percentage of
human cost
electricity
software
hardware
in the total ownership cost. I'm writing a paper that needs some of these
information to justify the
motivation of doing the research. Thanks a bunch!

Installed a g++ in WinXP. Is the version old or still good enough?

古董的g++
现在都4.3了，不过用起来应该没有问题的

g++ 3.4.4 (or later) is available from cygwin.com. Use the setup.exe from
their home page to get it.

我的cygwin g++
gcc version 3.4.4 (cygming special, gdc 0.12, using dmd 0.125)
顺便问一下，这里多少人用mingw的g++.

use MinGW, 4.3 now I belive.

从所需的dll来看mingw的g++比cygwin的要省些麻烦，因此一直用mingw g++。
$ cygcheck g++
