linus is not as extreme as Stallman, He knows how to profit from Linux.
That same year Red Hat and VA Linux, both leading developers of Linux-based
software, presented Torvalds with [stock options] in gratitude for his
creation.
He interviewed in 1997, he had mentioned that he distributed Linux for free
to confuse Bill Gates. Now He is in the same league as Bill Gates.

搞这种政治正确是没有意义的，LINUX这就是个开源社区，他又不能像公司里面的有组
织权力。如果没有对正确的追求，没有犀利一点的作风，早就一盘散沙了。

C++ is nothing more than a Ph.D. dissertation; it lucked out 2 become very
popular in 80/90. the author has done nothing more except publishing books.
from engineering perspective ppl like John Carmack and Jeff Dean r much

简单点说，前几年刘强东和他的SVP报酬可能差不了几个钱，但收入差别大了。
实际上国外哪怕不是创始人的CEO，也都是这么回事。Board敢放一个人当CEO，此人愿
意替board看家，就不在乎法定财务报表那点钱。
你总想着CEO的死工资，眼界比他们低太多了。
