This is about the ASP.NET release question:
In my local machine, I opened a web application project (web form), it talks
to local database fine, now there is a production machine, with IIS server and
SQL database, how do I release the project to the production machine? looks
like copy paste doesn't work.

the easiest way is to put connection string in the web.config
