The School of Public Economics and Administration at the Shanghai University
of Finance and Economics invites applications for a full-time tenure-track
position at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level in political
science to start in September 2011. The School welcomes applications from
all subfields of political science as well as from related disciplines.
Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate both excellence in
scholarly research and dedication to teaching, and must be bilingual in
Mandarin Chinese and English.
Salary and credit towards tenure will be commensurate with qualifications
and experience. The starting salary for an assistant professor is around RMB
250-300k. Benefits include (1) housing allowance: RMB 240k, (2) moving
stipend: RMB 10k, (3) conference travel allowance: RMB 10k/year, for three
years, and (4) research fund: RMB 30k/year, for three years.
