If you need a fast international door-to-door shipping by air , my
experience may help.
I learnt this agent called contour-usa from mitbbs last summer.
I had 5 mid-large suitecases, total 20cft ~ 340 lbs, so I didn't ask for the
packing material from them.
Most of them are clothes, shoes, books, but no electronics. One small trick
to avoid unnecessary customer duty is to put a low declaration value, for
insurance as well.
I got a quota of $1000 +75 insurance, (asked for $1200 and offered $200
discount).
It took 4 day from pickup from NYC to deliver to Beijing, and another 3 day
to clear from Beijing Duty, where Fedex China contacted me and picked up
some clearance doc from Beijing.
Overall it is a pleasant experience within budget. Hope it helps.
