If your manuscript is finally accepted, you will be required to
submit high-resolution electronic files of your figures direct
to the Production office, by FTP. 600 dpi is required for line
drawings (black and white) and 300 dpi for colour or greyscale.
Colour figures must be supplied in CMYK not RGB colours.
Anybody know how to do make sure the dpi in linux and make sure it is in CMYK
rather than RGB?

Depends on the tool you used to generate the figures,if matlab,
use "print -r600 -cmyk ..."
