I was warned to have met up
the disk quota, but check the
space i'm using, very small(
unnecessary to break the quota).
using quota command, it reports
that /Home4 directory is oversized.
and my home directory is under that.
But my friend with his home directory
under the same directory /Home4, has
no the disk quota problem. why?
since we have the same parent directory?

quota always count wrong! It cause by non-sync.
you use du to get the ture space of your consume, it always not the
same as system's quota.
I suggest your admin use quotacheck to re-count the quota.
BTW, even your friend's home is in the same dir as yours, it may be different
in quota set, it is up to admin. So may be your quot ais set too small.
Use "quota -v" check with " du $HOME " .
