Sorry can't type Chinese now.
Had multiple conversations on this topic with the boss but still... Usually
a person on team manages 20-25 items, but I have 40-50. And the boss is now
trying to give me a big project on top of that... Exactly how I should let
my boss know I'm very very busy and really can't take on more? I just joined
this new company and not in a position to leave this job. And internal
transfer is impossible since only a few months in this new role.
On the same team, generally speaking most people are busy but not to my
level. Boss is a high performer in the company, first time being people
manager, since the boss came a year and a half ago, almost the whole team
turned over and most team members stayed there for long time got managed out
, I'm actually one of the new ones got recruited in by the boss from
external.
BTW, I'm good at what I'm doing. No issue there. I also took a step down to
take this role as I really want to get into this company that I'm working
for now. It's still a great company to work for in long run, but the mini-
environment right now is not ideal. I'm good at doing the work, not good at
managing these kinds of issues, especially when the person is your boss.I'm
not even looking at promotion any more, just want a normal work life balance
.
