my accounting is also bad in college. but now i feel comfortable with all the finance and accounting stuff, and sometimes i even find accounting interesting. one thing i think might help you is to get some real experience and know the process. it would help if you could do some bookkeeping and learn the relationship between accounts. also building a balance sheet and income statement would help you understand it thoroughly. good teachers provide such examples and practice in class. you can also
The accounting is just follow the rules. Remember those rules then apply them. It is all about balance. Read the books ten times and then you will have some accounting sense. Hope it helps.

A good way to improve you accounting knowledge is to talk with other students ( may not limited to Chinese Students). Communication is the key. You can't study alone. 听君一席话,胜读10年书。和学的好的多多交流。
Do you mean that you want to stay in the U.S., therefore, you want to keep learning accounting? If yes, you are definitely wrong unless you want to stay in one company for about 10 years without going back to China until you get the Green Card. For accounting firms, you are only eligible for EB3 unless you become the manager after several years. You can go to " immigration" to search how long you have to wait for Green Card for Eb3. For GC, i concur with other folks here. I know in my firm people even manager were filed under eb3. PWC files GC for after you are promoted to senior (with a "one" rating, i.e., the best!). But donot ever let the GC become the biggest hurdle/factor in your future/ career planning. It is very important, but there are much more that GC.
