Got a question about 1099-MISC:
I worked for some independant contractors in 2011 and they sent me 1099-MISC
forms. In box 7 it is"independant contractor". The total amount is about $
3500.
I am not a independant contractor/I donot own any business , I only worked
for them to fill-in occasionally. And I was paid hourly (no benefit). Can I
fill form 1040 line 12 "other incomes" for this income and describe it as "
sporadic fill-in"? Thanks a lot!

I think you need to fill out Schedule C-EZ and put the amount under business
income on 1040. (It gets added to your income either way.) If they don't
consider you an employee then you're a contractor. It doesn't matter whether
you own a business.

Keynote非常好用，配合LaTEXit很适合学术报告
Presentation这种东西……看上去炫有时候还真的挺重要

You don't have to have your own business to be an independent contractor.
File sch c -ez, take some deduction for expenses
