Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in a cancer research
laboratory located within The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
to work in the areas of cancer genetics and cancer signaling. The lab
currently studies metabolic signaling in cancer development, aging and stem
cell maintenance (see our publications, Nature. 2010; 468(7324):701-4;
Cancer Cell. 2010; 18(5):472-84; Cell Cycle. 2009; 8(7):1003-6; PNAS. 2008;
105(49):19384-9). The projects will focuses on the roles of tumor
suppressors in cancer metabolism, stress response and stem cell biology.
Qualified candidates should have strong background in one or more of the
following areas: molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, cancer genetics.
Previous experience in generating and analyzing mouse models is desirable.
MD Anderson is ranked No. 1 in cancer care in the United States by the U.S.
News and World Report’s “America’s Best Hospitals” survey. It ranks 1st
in the number of awarded grants from National Cancer Institute. It offers
active graduate and postdoctoral training programs and the unmatched
scientific environment of the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest
