A friend of mine working at TIGR called me one day soon after we published
our Cell paper in 1993 to tell me that he had just found 5 human homologues
of ICE from their sequences and asked me if I was willing to collaborate
with TIGR. Although I wanted desperately to get those ICE homologues, MGH
would not agree to the terms of the TIGR collaboration. Instead, my friend
collaborated with my competitor who published Nature, Cell and Science
papers one after another. Facing such stiff competition,
our Cell paper in 1993 to tell me that he had just found 5 human homologues
of ICE from their sequences and asked me if I was willing to collaborate

这个TIGR的人估计也是个老中,
认识的做apoptosis的就几个老中,
首先想跟yuan合作,袁受制于mgh的死板规定,痛苦的不能合作,
然后想到wang(可能),然后重复工作,一堆CNS就此诞生
看来yuan还是耿耿于怀,只能怪MGH了

呵呵 你可真会感慨 做apoptosis的人多了去了 谁告诉你就几个老中?反倒是你说的走
了狗屎运的王同学本人基本没有干过clone caspase的事情 他入行的时候caspase整个
family都clone的差不多了
这文章里说的competitor,99%是Vishva Dixit,0%是王晓东 欢迎内行同学来指正
