as long as you can convince your thesis committee and defense committee to
let you pass, you are fine.
however the problem is whether you have received good training, are able to
be independent in your research later on at your postdoc, and know what to
do for postdoc as well. These are more important things you need to worry.

by the time of my defense, only 1 tiny paper (much worse than JBC) had been
published. and the following two works from my thesis were published two and
three years after I got my phd degree. they were small papers too.
so I don't think I have any reason to BSO.

我做到毕业交论文前一天才想好论文题目叫什么，做的东西自己都不知道为什么要做，
看到一大堆乱七八糟的东西哭笑不得。找博厚找了4个月都没找到任何一家。
郁闷的时候真是什么了结的念头都有，但是我朋友说，you graduate, then you are
phd. nobody cares what you have done when you are a phd student. Now you
will have the damn title forever after your name. That is it.
就差一口气就是一个title了，过去了拿到了就行了。
接下来转行还是怎么的，就是未来的生活了。
我做到毕业交论文前一天才想好论文题目叫什么，做的东西自己都不知道为什么要做，
看到一大堆乱七八糟的东西哭笑不得。找博厚找了4个月都没找到任何一家。

刚刚拿了个phd，虽然教授们说做得好啊好，但我早已洞悉了美国这种不实的夸奖，微
笑致谢，内心还是很明白自己的project还有很多地方没有个合理的解释。就像lz一样
，这些疑惑在phd期间一直折磨着我，老板却处之泰然，我赞他见多识广。但所有的顾
虑，在今天这一切已经成为过去式，我终于不用再想破头，不担心有什么叉子让我拿不
到学位。lz不要折磨自己，如果你老板定了你能毕业，你就安心拿学位去。
笑致谢，内心还是很明白自己的project还有很多地方没有个合理的解释。就像lz一样
，这些疑惑在phd期间一直折磨着我，老板却处之泰然，我赞他见多识广。但所有的顾
虑，在今天这一切已经成为过去式，我终于不用再想破头，不担心有什么叉子让我拿不
