既然这几天谈到了Zhu Jian-kang,Deng XW和Dong XN。我们可以从他们开始谈起。
如前所述,我没有大家喜闻乐见的8卦素材,所以基本上我这里只是列出他们从学生
时代起的publication等,大家可以看到他们如何在career上有个大的跳跃。

Zhu Jian-Kang应该是94年到95年在Auburn University呆了两年。很快就去了Arizona
开始人生的事业。我推测他薄厚不是很如意,或者他希望能尽快独立。所以薄厚不到一
年就开始找职位。但是并不是很成功,只能去了一个不是很好的Auburn,而且在哪儿也

他开始也算不得高产。但是在93年这一年集中爆发。没有cns,而且方向也不是一个。
说明他把手头好几个课题做到了中等文章的程度。他去了arizona很快就发了SOS的东西
,说明他可能PhD时候就有了初步结果或者独立后很快建立了一个可靠的筛选系统(我
对他的领域不熟悉,行内人请纠正)。Zhu JK似乎不追求CNS,他big three的文章很少
。但是照样当上院士,是因为搞清楚了一个重要的SOS通路?还是另有原因?(如果按
照这个标准,Deng XW应该也可以上)。
Zhu JK事业上上升的速度惊人,2年就tenure了,1年后升正教授。他个人似乎喜欢生命
在于运动这句名言。换地方的频率也是惊人的。但是这一切对他事业的发展似乎毫无影
响。为毛?
