以前我总以为和尚的形象是很安静，很高深的。我了解一点儿佛教知识，和尚都是信佛的，每天参禅悟道，清净修为，自然是高深的。你看那电视上或者网络上的和尚形象，尤其是老僧，都很少说话，阿弥托佛说个不停，话语之间总有济世的情怀，总有普度众生的慈悲，全然一副高大上的样子。可是，我在现实生活中遇到过几次和尚，才发现这世界上和尚比普通人还要世俗。一次是特例，可我见到过两次。一次我外出办事，在火车上遇到几个和尚，他们有几个男的，有几个女的，那几个女的估计是尼姑。他们都穿的佛教的服装，一身棕黄色的衣服，鞋也很特别。从一上车他们就开始大声说话，吵得整个车厢都不得安宁。他们比普通人说话的声音更高，而且说得都是很俗的，比如吃饭吃的是什么，关于性空缘起的内容几乎没有提起。他们姿势更怪，有个合适觉得不舒服就脱了鞋坐在座位上，好几个人都露着大牙哈哈地说话。还有一次，我在路上碰到一个和尚，别人不对我说话，他倒很主动跟我说，好像闲的没事，嘻嘻哈哈的。没见过这样的和尚。难道是我判断错误吗？还是现实的和尚就是这样世俗，比普通人要世俗好多倍。

总体感觉不太稳定，时常用着用着屏幕就死了，有时候过十来秒钟会回来，有时就那么
亮着，一点反应也没有，关也关不掉，只能按住开关重启，比较烦！
这是硬件的问题还是Android 3.1的问题，或是一些apps有冲突？
别的牌子的Android的板子有没有这个毛病？
不成就退了，以后搞个华硕的变形 Prime。

top大概就是havard, stanford, berkeley, mit, caltech? 藤校的包括进去princeton
, columbia, upenn? 一流的算ucla, ucsf, chicago, ut austin, cornell, uiuc,
rice etc? 二流的算比较有劲的州大、市大，比如umich, psu, osu, bu etc etc?
UW在大家看来，放在什么位置比较合适？

Medical School and biology? UW Medical School overall rank is 10 better
than some of Ivies and top tiers. If you go to a big lab, it really doesn't
matter. Is David Baker's lab one of the top lab? and how about all other
HHMI investigators at UW?

楼主可以试试改用其他的输入法，比如google拼音。
我前两天把galaxytab root了，原来好好的屏幕，突然会几十秒钟停顿一下
尤其是在玩tower defence的时候，非常恼火
今天发现自从装了新输入法，再也没有出现这个现象了。
觉得很可能是缺省的输入法有bug的。

ivy 也看什么学校，dartmouth和brown的graduate school，还比不上一些州立大学。

UC Berkeley is higher than Stanford in science. I'm sorry. Caltech is also
better than Stanford if you are in science (actually US News ranked it
higher than Stanford overall). Your ranking is more like a Chinese ranking
who knows less than 10 schools in the US. If you really want to get best
undergraduate education try Williams etc. As medical school, there are
several rankings, don't forget UW is number 1 in primary care almost for two
decades and 10 in research!

的确三星这个pad没有自带中文输入法很不好。我是bestbuy促销的时候买的，搞来搞去
送了50美金gift card, 一个三星原装键盘，一个三星原装USB connector, 一个苹果
ipod/iphone充电器，加上shop discover $50 credit ( 10% for bestbuy.com), 算下
来实际成本不足 $300
因为有键盘，基本上当它笔记本在用。触摸屏和色彩鲜艳度，摄像头的效果等都明显不
如苹果的ipad2.玩了几天现在基本闲置在那里了。但是送了一堆东西也舍不得退。。。
最初买这个只是想熟悉一下安猪的系统。以前只用过苹果的东西。
现在家里有2个ipad2, 一个10.1寸 Galaxy tab, 一个7寸带3G的Galaxy tab (感恩节看
到199美金的deal就入了一个）和1个ipod touch 4. 似乎太多了，等ipad3上市以后打
算退掉一个三星的玩意儿。

I'm Chinese. I'm just saying too many of you worry too much about which
college you/your kids go to. I know idiots from big schools and very smart
guys from state schools. I can tell in less than an hour during the
interview. At least, I won't confuse Bac5 degree and confuse it with an
associate degree. As my IQ goes, I was tested BELOW normal IQ before I came
to the US (maybe that's why you don't like my post). If you find my other
posts, you can guess what's my current employment. Is it the problem of the
education system, the society, or the individual? I have a Caltech
graduate student who graduated from Yale once asked me why her grandmother
never heard of Yale before in China (she is an ABC). Even all the Ivy
schools are not all well known in China (btw, I don't mean Yale, in theory,
her grandmom should know).
My suggestion for looking for a college is to find a good college that fits
you the best and won't cost you an arm and a leg to go to. Especially if
you are looking later on for a post-graduate/professional degree, you want
to minimize your debt. An MD from a state school is as good as a MD from a
famous school especially if you are full honors. For example, the worse
thing could happen to a person is that he/she graduated from John Hopkins
Med school but cannot find a match for residents!
P.S. Part of qualification to get into an ivy league school is rich. You
have to be a real screw up not to get in if you parents donate a lot of
money and still can't get in (hint: one famous person's son accomplish that)
. Do you know who gets into the Trinity prep-school or similar privates
school like that as you link indicated?
