F*** off,he pays you too much!!
Second this! The manager is definitely a good person! He/She told LZ what the boss might be feeling of LZ's attitude. In addition, he told LZ what would have been a better way to respond to the boss's demand (--yes, it was a demand). Judging from the manager, the boss is not a bad one. Way to go, LZ.

Unlike last year, where these two categories were anticipated to move forward dramatically, unfortunately, EB-2 for China and India are expected to move very slowly. Specifically, Mr. Oppenheim indicated that he expects EB-2 China to move forward by approximately 2 weeks in every month’s visa bulletin with a possible target of cutoff date somewhere in the second half of 2008 by the end of the fiscal year ( September 30, 2013).

There is a 15-minute rule when it comes to waiting for people. When someone is late for an appointment, you wait for 15 minutes, and if he doesn't show up, you can just leave. He owes you an apology! You boss obviously does not respect people -- yes you are one of his employees. But that doesn't mean he can just be disrespectful, expecting you to show up with such short notice and then standing you up! 'I will take a cab!' Come on -- it's not even for the presentation! If your boss bears a grudge ever because you are late once or twice for his meetings (key words -- short notice), you might as well look for another gig elsewhere! Good luck.

Personally, I think that the manager is a good person. No matter what exactly the words he used, he was trying to help you. As a young people have not experienced a lot in career, you definitely need this kind of advice. If you do not know how to collect/take this kind of advice in your career path, you won't succeed. Do not take it badly.

LZ was fault from you already knew that so why not pop3 linked your smart phone likes iphone 5 to your office mail account, then before you close your eyes and open your eyes lastly and firstly check your mail Inbox. then plus LZ knew that 上周五 you 要做一个比较重要的报告 before that week beginning, you should put your Android phone or iphone POP3 linked to your office mail account.

It sounds like you knew your boss's style already. In this case, I would check emails a little bit earlier on that day or come in early on those 2 days if the presentation is really that important. Personally, I think lab manager's intention is good. We all need to be more articulate when writing such emails.

The lab manager is a good guy. He was teaching you how to complain positively. It doesn't mean you literally need to take a cab. Your email is a typical negative complain.

I'll take a cab! 我 ” manager明说了是literally need to take a cab,你觉着呢?
