Recently screen many resumes for my manager and have 2 cents for new college
graduates who are looking for technical jobs:
- Try not to list Mandarin or even Shanghai dialect in your resume as
expertise, unless the job requires for it specifically.
- Try not to put your minoring in business/finance/management there. When we
look at this, 1st thought is you are not going to do technical for long
term.
- Try to be humble about your leadership. New graduates come to work for a
few years before they can be promoted to managers.
- Be careful about anything that you put in your resume but you are not
familiar with. If that fits for the job description/requirement, very
possibly, some interviewers will ask you questions about it.
Good luck!
