Postdoc position in Biomaterials:
A postdoctoral position is immediately available at Dr. Haipeng Liu’s lab
at Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Wayne State
University. The Liu lab is using synthetic nanomaterials to manipulate the
immune system for next-generation vaccines and cancer immunotherapies. We
are interested in the rational, structure-based design of therapeutics at
the interface of Chemistry, Engineering, Nanotechnology and Immunology (for
more information, see Liu et al. Nature, 2014, 519-22). We are looking for a
highly motivated person with strong background in nanomaterials synthesis,
vaccine delivery, cellular immunology and cancer immunotherapy. Candidates
ideally should have a PhD in pharmaceutics, bioengineering, materials
Science or related fields. Experience with particle engineering, hydrogel
implants, drug/vaccine delivery, controlled release system, cell culture
techniques and animal work are desired.
Interested applicants should contact Dr. Liu at [email protected]
