这肯定悔青了啊，一把年纪，还是postdoc,要是做CS,估计都能退休了。

按正常岁数都45了...还在做第二站千老...
除了phd期间发了两片JN，薄后做了那么多年了只有一篇co-first的NN...除非还有大的
在后边..最多也就是个二流院校AP就烧高香了...而且拿到tenure就50多了...
只能说是真爱.
我身边有一个研究生同学，当年也是省高考前20名进的清华的自动化，好好的phd非要
转生物，现在都多少年了也没啥动静了，都是被忽悠的啊...

这是个失败的简历，研究生CS 很显然是失败了，不过７年拿了生物博士，的确不简单
，是说工作很辛苦，而且要学很多后来没有用的东西。再以后就不用说了，看年头就说
明问题了。
我说一个本科IVY 商管，二流CS 博士（１１年），出来给一个阿三初创小公司打工。
下场很惨。
CS 也不是象你们 all get to glory

绝对的杯具啊，薄厚做了三期，加起来10多年了，要是一直做软件，现在都有可能退休了

在美国
If you want to switch to medicine, it may be worthwhile starting before 30.
(you can still enjoy doing research while practicing clinical medicine.
Computer science and business, maybe you can start later. But I saw so many
people with computer science master degrees earn less than a postdoc.

My friend's boy friend,a 40 yrs white ,only makes 2000dollars per month with
a bachelor of computer science .less than many postdoctoral.

总有特例，但是绝大多数cs的人挣得比postdoc多多了
同样学bio的人也有挣得多的，只不过很少

Major is not the reason,but person is the reason.that is why Obama can be
the president ,but Chinese can only work for others in this country.

discrimination is common.
I donot understand why so many Chinese come to the States and try to become
professor.
There is little funding here.
Chinese bioresearch is squandering money.
For children, what a selfless explanation!

It is also important whether the job fits you well.
Computer science is very different from biology or medicine.
Biology and medicine have some similarities.

If the companies can get a white programmer with 2000 dollars per month,they
won't pay higher salary for foreign programmers.that's the problem.

你没进过阿三的公司把？其实象你们这些半路出家的，CS 博士其实挺汗酸的，
现在叫WS，就是现在dancing with star 那个Robert 都上亿了，也是半路出家的

What is the rough number for the average? Most people transferred to CS I
saw are in 40-50Kish.

这哥们一定不是干码工的。码工有找不到工作的我信，打死不信有四万以下的职位。
我们这边完全成事不足，败事有余，码的CODE别人必需删掉重码的，最CHEAP的ICC从
印度派来的合同工，也是七万以上。
