There has been a lot of controversy in recent years over the issue of
whether exogenous microRNA molecules can be absorbed from food and even have
a physiological effect. A new study using mouse models settles the question
by demonstrating that the posited dietary uptake does not take place. This
questions the potentially promising concept of creating functional foods
based on microRNAs.
The scientific world was astonished when, in 2011, Chinese researchers
claimed to have found evidence suggesting that minute fragments of plant
genetic material -- so-called microRNA molecules -- of rice ingested from
food could play a role in regulating physiological processes in the human
body. If this is indeed true, it might even be possible to deliberately
modify human physiological functions via this route, for instance by
incorporating microRNAs into novel functional foods. As a strategy, this
holds considerable potential. For example, certain endogenous microRNA
molecules have been shown to suppress cancer cell growth, and others are
known to be involved in the development of diseases such as obesity and
diabetes.

我对水稻的mRNA 不了解,对张的文章也不认为是对反转的支持。
但是,这篇新发布的文章说的是牛奶里的mRNA, 通篇没有涉及水稻。

这种东西原理上应该是一样的吧?除非水稻的有特殊修饰。

我以前稍微看了一眼有关的讨论,里面的确说到水稻的miRNA有特殊的修饰,和动物的
不一样。

植物以及果蝇里的miRNA末端有methylation。mammalian没有。但这种差别是否会导致
在消化道里代谢有差异是未知的。

这个问题很简单啊,不明白为什么你们一帮生物的人纠缠了几年。这个其实是药学问题
,本质上就是口服给药的最重要问题,肠道吸收的效率如何,也就是穿过两个屏障进入
血液的效果。
肠道吸收大分子是非常难,效率非常低,但是也是有可能的,只是效率太低显示不了明
显效果。比如胰岛素直接口服,是没有效果的,但是不代表没有非常少量的胰岛素吸收
通过肠道了。 用上载体后,microRNA和SIRNA尺寸差不多,应该是可以显著吸收进入血
液。
