I do not care where the work was done and by whom, but the work should be solid and repeatable. To my surprise, so far, there is no any further publication following Han's publication which was online on May 2nd 2016. This might be because of the massive success of extensive application of CRISPR/Cas9 in genome editing. Looking at the fate of Cpf1, which is called the "CRISPR 2.0", Zhang published Cpf1 data in Oct 2015, since then there were not much further articles regarding this protein, until this month (June 2016), there were two brief reports on application of Cpf1 in generating KO/KI mouse models. If NgAgo, confirmed by others to be what it is in the publication, we can call it as "genome editor 3.0". We are still waiting for other labs to repeat Han's work. We are also wait to see the application of NgAgo in generating KO/KI mouse or other animal models. By the way, NgAgo construct is available now from Addgene: http://www.addgene.org/78253/ My colleagues, if you want to prove sth, please go ahead doing it by yourself, and with your data come back to tell us what is going on or I am looking forward to reading your papers which supports or is against the previous findings. Declare: I am just curious to know any progress of NgAgo story instead of criticizing anyone :)
