Hi.. I tried to apply for post-doc position in UCD medical school. I send
out 2 CV and got 2 interview. One offered me the job right away with a
salary of 42K +H1b visa, and the other is no response since interview last
week.
I am in bio-medical field with 2 years of post-doc exp. I felt 42K is really
low. How much you guys got at UCD??
By the way, I am currently also on H1b. If I accept the job, how fast is the
paper work gonna take for the application?? I do not want to have a gap
between 2 sc

父母的结婚证明，工作工资证明，银行存款，房产证等都需要翻译
成英文并公证么？ 还是拿中文的去就可以？ 签证官能看懂中文么？

那会儿俺是班长，又是比较稳定的全班前三，而俺那个号称区重点的爆烂初中给老师们
的指标很简单：希望学生保持靠上区重点，上不上市重点都无所谓。。。 所以俺就提前
跟几个已经确定去艺术类职业高中（god know what that means...)的同班同学（两女
一男）一起，被免了参加补习班、习题课，被安排到一个幽僻的会议室里对着标准答案
判卷子。这个一礼拜左右的经验经历彻底改变了俺的人生轨迹，为俺的人生买下了一颗
结结实实圆润饱满的，成为无可救药的臭流氓的种子。。。 （胃脘，待续）

那只敢推荐《美人心计》了，比较SAFE，呵呵。
本来我想悄悄说《逆水寒》顾惜朝，或者《鹿鼎记》黄晓明版的，都很好看。：）

yes, you can start to work as soon as you got the receipt for H-1 transfer.
The speed for paperwork depends on school. Some are very efficient, some not.

The speed for paperwork depends on school. Some are very efficient, some not.

结婚证明？不是结婚证？不过，但反正都一样，我父母结婚证丢了，办了一个证明材料
，照样过。
中文就可以。没那么麻烦，更不用公证。不管他看懂看不懂，告诉他那是什么。

I think there are couple labs in his building (not a big one), and the
avg salary in that building is arount that price.

The bottom line is $37000. You can find the description @ University of
California, Davis, Postdoctoral Scholar News, October, 2007. Anyway, in UC
system 42K is not too bad. It is much better than mine.
