One postdoctoral position supported by DOE is available immediately. The successful candidate will conduct research to study the flow behavior of different fluids and gases in nano-scale porous media (nano-chips) for our three year DOE funded project. The postdoctoral fellow will design and carry out experiments, develop mathematical models to understand the fluid flow behavior in nano-pore-sized porous media. In addition, the successful candidate will also oversee and guide the research of multiple graduate students. The candidate who has extensive research experience in conducting research using single molecule imaging systems on micro- and nano-fluidic chips is preferred. In addition, the candidate who has multiphase simulation experience in nano-pore-scale porous media is a plus. The successful candidate will also oversee and guide the research of multiple graduate students and also have an opportunity to participate in other projects and activities related to advanced analytical chemistry methods. The postdoctoral fellow candidate is preferred to have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, previous post-doctoral fellow experience will be preferred but not required, and have extensive research experience in conducting research using single cell and single molecule imaging systems on micro- and nano- fluidic chips. In addition, the postdoctoral fellow candidate must have optical alignment experience because the experiments involve many optical designs and lignments. It will be a plus if the candidate has experience working with GC, GC/MS/MS, HPLC, and/or LC/MS/MS. Please submit your CV to Dr. Baojun Bai, Petroleum Engineering, Missouri University of Science and Technology ( formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) by e-mail: b**[email protected] Review of applications will begin immediately. Thank you.
