读史有感(奥本海默)
最近看到了知情人所写的关于杨振宁和李政道文章的摘录,其中有奥本海默对此所说的
话:李政道应该不要再做高能物理,而杨振宁应该去看看精神医生。
这一段话重得不得了,意思实际是说:李政道不够格做一个物理学家,杨振宁则是做人
都有问题。
这里恐怕要作一点解释,上个世纪的前三分之一,是物理学大爆炸的时代,出了一大堆
牛人,他们的共同特点可不是追求名利。
最杰出的公认是爱因斯坦,他就不是淡漠名利,而是有些憎恨出名,他基本上是个隐士
,只喜欢关起门来做研究。
波尔听说他有可能在爱因斯坦之前得诺贝尔奖,赶紧出来说这样太荒唐。狄拉克对他的
老师卢瑟福说他不想出名,想拒绝诺贝尔奖,卢瑟福对他说:“如果你这样做,你会更
出名,人家更要来麻烦你。”
