I have several interviews and Barclays gave me an offer, I orally accepts it
. Now Verizon extend me an offer too, which company I should choose to work
for? Thanks for any suggestion.

每个人都有属于自己的糊口，糊口中的你，或喜或悲，或留恋或忘怀--题记
糊口是我们成长的催化剂，糊口是我提高的蹊径，体验糊口，享受糊口也是我们增
加生命宽度的必要前提!
曾经有人问我，你心中想象的糊口是怎样的?当问到这个题目时，我心中有些迟疑
观望，由于我很难找到一个正确的谜底给自己。我觉得应该是这样的吧!对夸姣糊口的
一种向往或追求!
我相信未来的糊口会有夸姣和谐的家庭，我相信未来的糊口会有功成名就的自己!
我相信未来的糊口我会更顺心如意、身体更加健康，我相信未来的糊口我会过的更快乐
、更幸福!当然，我很憧憬这样夸姣的糊口，但我觉得更加应适于现实的糊口。心中所
想的必然春暖花开，沁人肺腑，而现实的糊口却是残酷的。
糊口是一双明亮的眼睛，看透着我们的内心，我们的内心布满阳光，我们的糊口就
是快乐，幸福的;我们的内心是黑暗的，我们的糊口就是悲伤的，糊口是花开仍是花落
，是乌云仍是阳光，皆有内心而定!
糊口是一位老师，引领我们前进，我们的步伐是怎样的，我们糊口将是怎样的，若
糊口的难题，我们选择了坚强，那么我们的内心就是幸福的暖阳!若糊口的艰辛，我们
选择逃避，那么我们的糊口将会一如既往的贫洗;若糊口的痛苦我们选择了微笑面临，
我们将成为世界上最锦绣的风景!
糊口将会属于谁呢?糊口实在并不完全属于我们自己，父母辛劳的工作也将是为我
们，我们若能换个角度来思索，糊口实在属于我们的爱人和孩子还有我们的亲人，我们
不要将知足是欲望摆在第一位，珍惜、拥有爱人与孩子的快乐，才是最重要的。
糊口是无声的，也是有声的，可以与它谈天说地，也可以与它争风吃醋，无论怎样
，我觉得糊口应该是公平的，我们应该更加珍惜它，爱惜它，在生命没有结束之前，我
们应该好好享受它!
不论远近，懂得才有暖和。大张旗鼓的，未必是真心;默默无声的，未必是无心。
把一切交给时间，总会有谜底。清淡中的相守，才最贵重;简朴中的拥有，才最心安。

可是，王位继承顺序不是国王一张嘴，自己要改就可以的。虽然伊莎贝尔努力游说，
但是因为卡斯特尔众多贵族阻挠，还是无法成功。这还要提到她年轻时候的往事。
首先，卡斯特尔王国其实在历史上跟葡萄牙关系更加亲密。伊莎贝尔年轻时，
葡萄牙国王阿方索就曾经对她的美貌垂涎三尺，主动求亲，还得到了她王兄的首肯。
但是伊莎贝尔相当厌恶阿方索的为人。这人从外貌到心灵都相当猥琐，既没有军事
上的天才，也没有政治上的智慧，更没有身为领袖的个人魅力。他一方面不懂得
用发展的眼光治理国家，另一方面又为了攫取利益可以不择手段，任何小人伎俩
都干得出来。历史上臭名昭著的“葡萄牙奴隶贩子”时代，就是由他首开的历史先河。
如果嫁给他，这种人才不会真正尊重伊莎贝尔，接纳她的各种政治改革建议，
给她政治实权，更别说签下君子协定，联合共治了。所以伊莎贝尔抵死不嫁阿方索，
坚决选择处于事业上升期的费迪南。试想，如果阿方索能有费迪南的英武，大气，
远见，成功抱得美人归，说不定现在的西班牙半岛就要叫成葡萄牙半岛了。但是，
伊莎贝尔选择了费迪南，也严重伤害了卡斯特尔的亲葡萄牙势力。这些人对阿拉贡
山区的人都是打心眼里瞧不起。忍了这么多年联合共治，还要把王权让给费迪南，
他们是死也不干的，一提到费迪南就要激烈反对。即使是跟伊莎贝尔比较亲近的
贵族派别，也无法接受在她死后改为效忠阿拉贡的国王。所以支持胡安娜继位，
就成了他们抵制费迪南的唯一选择。
与此同时，费迪南，伊莎贝尔也召回胡安娜，希望看看她的状况。想到岳父岳母
那里很可能有利可图，菲利浦也就欢天喜地地带着老婆一起去了西班牙。可是才
刚到目的地，他就后悔了。
现在如果你去西班牙旅游，首先想到的会是什么？盛大的斗牛欢庆，英勇的斗牛士？
或者是火辣的西班牙女郎，明艳的笑容，飞旋的长裙，激动人心的响板？可是，
映入菲利浦眼睛的，完全不是这一切，完全完全不是！他只看到了高雅冷艳的
虎妈丈母娘，让他浑身不自在。然后是三天两头的宗教仪式，繁文冗节，没完没了。
想到街上看美女吧，这里的女人都长衣长袖把自己包裹得严严实实，稍微有点身份
的还都得戴上个面纱，让人根本看不清楚真面目。想在社交场合勾搭几个小姐吧？
人家贵族都把女儿藏在家里，没几个愿意拉出来给人看得。菲利浦心中暗叫，我的
天哪，这是人过的日子么？还是说，我来到了一个超大的修道院？其实也不难理解，
大家举止庄重都害怕被抓到把柄，被说成对上帝不敬，诬蔑成宗教异端呗。菲利浦
原本是一个轻浮快乐，潇洒随便的年轻人，在这里却完全不敢表现出放荡的一面。
可是每一天的生活都让他感到窒息，他超级思念在自己的领地上自由自在的日子。
另外，雪上加霜的是，因为水土不服，他还得了麻疹。身心双重煎熬，让他觉得
西班牙简直就是人间地狱。

在加州呆了好一阵子了但还在小公司混，找了一段时间工作也没结果。很想要进
accounting firm，或者是中型或者大公司做，这样的话，是不是搬去纽约机会会多一
些？

Assume that you will not change your career track, e.g. from SE to QA. If
you don't have financial exp and would like to pursue your career in
financial industry, take Barclays's. After gaining a few year exp in
financial industry, you can play the game of "The Wall Street Shuffle".

I took the CFA exam and want to be in the financial industry, but I know
that I have to work very hard at Barclay. while at Verizon, life will be
easier for me. also at Verizon. I have children and want a easy life. It is
really hard to make decision.

carrier, said Monday its second-quarter profit fell 21 percent as cost-
cutting in its wireline business failed to keep pace with falling revenues.
The company will be cutting more than 8,000 employee and contractor jobs
before the end of the year in the wireline business, speeding up its efforts
to keep costs in line, according to chief financial officer John Killian.

research center?
If your role is production support, your life will be tough anywhere.

GC or not?
wife's status? (working with good income, working with minimum wage, staying
home,...)
family status? (how many kids? age? day care/grandparents? mortgage?...)
other factors? (commute, group size, location, recent projects, short-term
expectations, ...)
much more than CFA or financial industry or easy life.
you're asking a similar question like "should i date hot girl A or rich girl
B?"

Yes, I know Verizon is cutting ppl now. That is the reason that I waited for
one and half month and finally got the offer as the senior financial
analyst.
I have two children( daycare age). My husband want to take the Verizon offer
. I only need to commute 40 mins for Verizon, while Barclays is in the city.

If you want a good work/family balance, I'd say verizon. They offer good
benefits and salary.
If you are going to their wireless business, no worries about job security I

BGI just sold one of its major investment dept.
If you really want to get into financial world, absolutely BGI. But as you
said, be prepared for the long hours and the instability that might follow
in this career path.
I don't know what position you got in Verizon. If it's corporate finance,
this direction definitely gives you a more easily transferrable path in a
long run.
For the other issues, family, kids and commute, your husband should the be
person you discuss this with but not the people

说实话，这世上没有安全的地方。你觉得verizon安全清闲，其实可能完全是钱少也不
安全。相反barclay也不一定有想像中那么可怕。
自己的兴趣爱好更重要。
你老公应该支持你的选择。比如搬家请保姆什么的。
anyway,congratulations to your offers! 羡慕！

Verizon is nice place to work, but it just cuts 8000 people this week. And
Barclay, depends on which group your offer is in, for example, my friend
needs to get up 6:00AM every morning, for they meet every day at 7:30AM
