For a signal with all positive (or all negative) values, if we don't subtract
the mean value from the original signal, the result of wavelet analysis (CWT)
will not be correct. The dominant scale at each location will be the largest
possible scale for the given domain, which doesn't make sense.
This means that we have to subtract mean value from original signal when doing
wavelet analysis. But there is still a mean-value-related problem left. A
