winter bulbs ( Tulips etc), should stay in ground, the colder the better.
I don't know about spring bulbs, I am in California, I always keep them in
ground in California,
in zone6, you may just need to mulch them in the fall to overwinter them.

also bulbs from bulbdirect are not as good as from local store ( HD, lowes,
costco),
they are too small, flowers are not as big .

谢指点，我不是花农，种花纯属靠天吃饭，能活多少活多少，秋天盖上一层mulch就是了
