已经毕业离校了.因某些原因, one reference 是PHD committee member 而不是
PHD 老板. 会有影响吗? reference 是不是一定需要PHD 老板?

I have the similar issue, one company asked me for references, said any two,
so I put two friends names, and then the company just asked me why I did not
put my PHD advisor's name in the reference list. lol
I think a lot of companies will need your advisors' reference. I think they
want to know the 某些原因.

Phd老板一般来说应该是和你工作时间最长最了解你的最有发言资格的人，我要是
公司，也会对‘某些原因’比较感兴趣。。。如果解释清楚，应该也没什么问题啊，这
毕竟不是决定录取的关键因素啦

谢谢二位的回复, Phd老板说了会strongly support , but他只做了一次,后来就找不到
他.
曾经一个面试被取消了,我问了那个雇主,雇主说Phd老板给了reference.
所以我想用非常有信用的 committee member 而不是Phd老板.
下一次, 需要对 future employer 实说吗?
