公司给我的offer写的是 $3500 的relocation的钱
you will receive a one-time relocation payment of $3,500, less applicable
federal, state, and Social Security/Medicare taxes to cover your remaining
relocation expenses
但是刚才我看公司打到我银行卡上的钱怎么只有 $2178？
难道剩下的被HR 贪污了？

if u r in 25% tax bracket for fed tax
25% + 6.2% + 1.45% = 32.65%
roughly in the range
