我经常写信（电子邮件）给一个朋友，向她倾诉烦恼，喜悦，抱怨包含自己的隐私等。
我假定只有她自己才能看得到我的邮件，并且告诉她我写的经历请不要告诉别人。
但是我想不到她竟然把她的邮箱、密码告诉另外一个人，于是我所有的电子邮件全部让
那个人看到了，包含我自己的隐私。我很生气。
现在，她们这种行为，是不是等于侵犯了我的隐私权，算不算偷看私人信件？我是否可
以控告她们？（当然我不会控告，但是，我想问问）
如果属于一般性质的邮件，他可以转发给别人看；但是，那些属于我自己的隐私的东西
，她是否有授权别人看她自己的邮箱的法律上的权力？

intrusion on privacy
1. You must have reasonable expectation of privacy in the place, conversatio
n or matter.
2. in a manner that is highly offensive to a reasonable person.
if you tell the matter to your friend voluntarily, you don't really have a v
ery high expectation of privacy. Even if the third party defrauded your frie
nd to get the information, you probably won't have a cause of action.
You definitely don't have a cause of action against your friend in either to
rt or contract.

谢谢你的答复；不过我不明白，私人邮件（包含电子邮件）应该是很隐私的。如果对方
把我的邮件不经我允许任意向外公布（我开始写信要对方替我保密），我难道拿他无可
奈何，不能要求对方立刻停止这种行为吗？
难道不能告他索要精神损失费吗？

Sometimes the law is not the best tool to deal with a problem. There is a
moral
duty for him to keep the secret for you, but imposing a legal duty on him mi
ght have far reaching consequences. The law cannot police friend-friend conf
identiality. Once you write the letter to him, you assume the risk that it m
ight be revealed to a third party.
A mere promise is not always something that you can sue for in a court.
