I am bullish on China stock market now, so I want to invest in China A share
market. Somebody mentioned CAF in this board.
I have no clue what it is, and I found I can trade it directly from inside
my Ameritrade account.
I have a couple questions:
1. Is it true that I can just buy/sell CAF like I do with a normal stock?
2. Is it true that CAF is just a fund composed by a couple Chinese stocks,
managed by Morgan Stanley fund manager?
3. Is it true that my US$ will be converted to RMB first to trade? Do I lose
any processing fee in this transaction, is exchange rate fair when they do
the transaction?
4. Does CAF charge any management fee? If it does, how much? Is it already
discounted in the share price?
Anyway, want to get an idea of how CAF works, and how can I benefit from
China stock market booming and RMB appreciation.
I feel it's better than invest in real estate, as this means I can get out
any time I want, nice and easy.
