我们学校对于 NSF policy 的理解是不能用 grant money 买 laptop，因为不是为了
specific project。跟院长要钱买的话，很麻烦，要见面讲明为啥要15寸的而不是13寸
的。provost 有些钱，但是只给 tenure track professor 和 lecturer。我这样的
soft money 现在只能自己想办法。哎。。。

一般多大开始学？
我家的快6岁了，考虑让他学个棋，我自己对国际象棋没啥兴趣，就考虑围棋了。

My boy is at the same age.
It is almost impossible to find 围棋 class here.
So we go to 国际象棋 class instead.
Let me know if anyone can find 围棋 class.

你去围棋版问missbear，他是AGA 7段，在加州围棋界横着走的。

加州还找不到吗？
我儿5岁多，还没考虑这事，主要是看娃整天还热衷于推车玩，实在想象不出他能安静
耐心地学下棋，能搭个lego我就满意了。
