Free calling within the US and Canada through 2012 (Cross-posted from the Gmail blog) As the holiday season approaches, we're happy to announce that we've extended free domestic calls within the US and Canada for 2012. This is our way of helping you connect with friends and family across the country. And you can still call the rest of the world from Gmail at our insanely low rates. "Many of you call phones from Gmail ..." Many of you call phones from Gmail to easily connect with friends and family . If you're in the US and Canada, you'll continue to be able to make free domestic calls through 2013. Plus, in most countries, you can still call the rest of the world from Gmail at insanely low rates.
you misunderstood For one thing, GV voice calling remains free For second, EVEN IF voice calling is not free, it does not affect users that have ported their number to GV. For these users, GV is simply a call- forwarding (and free text messing) service. It does affect GrooveIP users, though
