if so, why not follow ur heart and be back to China for a while? you can
always resume your study, but for parents and other kins...树欲静而风不止，子

besides, it seems to me that your family has some genetic factors contributing
to your depression, as you mention your mom's younger sister's suicide. but it
is not scary, that just means you need to change some patterns in your family
to overcome ur emotional disorder.
