a question about "nohup"# Unix - 噫吁兮,危乎高哉

I have a program needed to run for about 2 hours. I remember that using "
nohup program.out &" can make the program keep running even when I log off
the system.
( program.out is my program)
But just now when I tried this, I found it didn't work,
does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot!

if you have input and output, you have to take over these in/output yourself
before you can put it to background. you can use redirect to do so.
