I got couple of login sessions alive for a week. :(
I can "who" me out on the machine, but I can't kill these "ps" with
the process #, why?

did you put -9 in the ps command?

first, list your processes in current machine.
ps -u [login name]
second, find the process id you want to kill
finally, kill it
kill -9 [process id]

kill -9 proc_id
if they are already zombies, you have to reboot your box.
